Come and share what we experience everyday. Situated on the western frontier of Europe we overlook the beautiful, breathtaking beauty of Lough Currane drained into the wild Atlantic by the Currane River.
Lough Currane a life sustaining clean environment for the Atlantic salmon and famous sea trout. These wonderful fish are born here and travel thousands of miles from here out into the Wild Atlantic only in time to be drawn back to their birthplace to spawn and begin the cycle of life again. We look out everyday to see Church Island, situated in the middle of the lake. A wonderful heritage site , the remains of a monastery founded by St Finnian and strongly connected to the great Skellig Island out on the Atlantic.
On Church Island there are the remains of the church, stone crosses. a place of learning reputed to have been the place where St Malachy did some of his studies. Take a trip out there by boat. We can arrange it. Enjoy a picnic in this special place! We are passionate about our landscape the peace, the pure and fresh Atlantic wind blowing in your face tossing your hair.
